- Haley A. Blakeman, FASLA, PLA, is the Gulf Coast Planning and Resilience Lead for Moffatt Nichol. For the past five years, she served as the Associate Director and an assistant professor at LSU’s Robert Reich School of Landscape Architecture. She has 20 years of private practice experience in landscape architecture and multidisciplinary firms and occupied a leadership role at a ground‐breaking, mission‐driven planning nonprofit. Her breadth of practice helps her relate to multidisciplinary collaborations, researchers and academics, administrators, students, emerging professionals, and private practitioners. Her work and research include climate‐induced migration, effective community engagement, empowering residents to improve their environment, collaborative design processes, and improving resilience in receiving communities. Haley is an urban and regional planner and a licensed landscape architect. Haley was the principal investigator (PI) for the research grant, lead researcher, and sole author of this manuscript.
