Purdue University's SCEEN system has been developed by utilizing computer graphics to simulate design models that display architectural and landscape elements, including buildings, trees, people, urban furniture, and land forms. Using an Evans & Sutherland PS300 package, SCEEN enables conversion of plan data to a full three-dimensional model which can be viewed in real-time, moving both around or through it. True topographic lines accurately portray landforms. Revisions can be made quickly and viewed immediately. Applications include interactive design instruction for students and design participation by design user/clients.
