She received a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture from Washington University in St. Louis and a Master of Landscape Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania. Rossi‐Mastracci’s research investigates new ways of adapting to unknown future conditions in extreme landscapes, with a focus on infrastructure, materiality, and ephemerality, to speculate on design responses to climate change and urban landscape infrastructural systems.

As a licensed landscape architect, she has over a decade of experience working on a variety of nationwide award-winning projects. She owns ALPHA Design Studio, where she pursues innovative solutions in the design and building industry.Peter SummerlinPeter Summerlin is an associate professor in the Department of Landscape Architecture at Mississippi State University. His work explores contemporary technology as tools for design, discovery, communication, and collaboration in the design process. He is a licensed landscape architect and LEED Accredited Professional with practical experience in both the public and private sector.
