His research and teaching focus on the relationships between environmental systems and multi‐scalar urban design. Masoud has received several awards, including the Ontario Association of Landscape Architects Research and Innovation Award and the Council of Landscape Architects Teaching Excellence Award. Masoud currently sits on Waterfront Toronto’s Design Review Panel and is a member of Toronto’s Urban Flooding Working Group, where he helped launch the city’s first Resilience Strategy.
